Sometimes things don't always go as planned, but thats okay. Here's a little tip that can help you improvise when a dish takes the wrong turn. Offsetting flavors can make a real difference when your cooking and food comes out too salty, spicy or sour. If your hand got a little heavy with the salt, add one or two other flavor profiles to balance it out. Ill give you an example, I was making marinara sauce and added to much salt. I was about to throw it away when I thought to add red wine vinegar (sour) and a little white sugar (sweet) to my sauce. The marinara was no longer salty and had even more depth of flavor with the added ingredients.
